What is LIFE TEEN Mass?
The Life Teen Mass is a regular Sunday mass, except teens assist the priest as Extraordinary Ministers of the Word and Eucharist. They also assist with collection and ushering. The music for LIFE TEEN is also more contemporary in nature. This is a time for all of the teens of our parish to come together with the greater church community and celebrate the miracle of Christ, fully present in the Eucharist... Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity.
What is a LIFE NIGHT?
Life Nights are times for High School teens to come together as a community to hang out, have fun, and grow deeper in their faith. Through talks, activities, and small groups, teens are given the opportunity to get real about their faith, talk about the topics that are important to them, and grow closer to Christ within their community.
What is ORATORY?
The word "Oratory" is taken from a model used by St. John Bosco, the apostle of youth ministry. Fr. Bosco was an Italian priest in Italy whose mission was to lead young people closer to Christ. He founded oratories where kids could live, pray, and hang out.
Our "Oratory" on Wednesday nights take place in the youth room, It is just a time for high school teens to hang out, do their homework, watch a movie, or talk about their faith. The youth minister and/or Core members will be there to hang out with you.
